EveryCafe Is Not Updating or Is Running Slowly. What Should I Do?

FAQ categoriesInstallation, Updates & Performance

We continuously improve EveryCafe, optimize its performance and work to keep the system healthy so you can update and use the application without freezes or slowdowns.

If you still receive an error during an update or experience slowness or stuttering, we recommend the following checks.

1. Check the EveryCafeUpdater.exe File

• EveryCafe updates are performed through EveryCafeUpdater.exe.

• If an update fails or the program does not update at all, first check whether EveryCafeUpdater.exe exists in the installation directory.

• If you select Güncellemeyi Al and nothing happens, close EveryCafe Manager completely. Right-click its shortcut, choose Yönetici olarak çalıştır and try the update again.

• Antivirus software may sometimes delete this file or place it in quarantine. Check the antivirus quarantine.

• If the file is missing, the update cannot start. Downloading and reinstalling the program may resolve the issue.

2. Check Your Internet and Network Connection

• Restart your modem/router and switch devices.

• Check whether the whole network is slow, for example by opening websites or running a speed test from another device.

• A VPN, proxy or firewall rule may block update traffic. Temporarily disable it and try again.

3. Check Free Disk Space

• Make sure the installation drive has enough free space. The recommendation is at least 10–20 GB.

• As a disk becomes full, general Windows performance can decrease and update operations can take longer.

4. Check SSD / HDD Health and Errors

• If you use an SSD, check its health value. If health has dropped significantly, for example below 80%, you may see performance problems and instability.

• SMART warnings, bad sectors, or a Caution/Bad state may indicate that the disk is failing.

• You can run Windows Drive Error Checking to check for disk errors.

• Tools such as Hard Disk Sentinel can be used to inspect SSD or HDD health.

5. Check RAM and CPU Usage

• In Task Manager, check CPU, RAM and Disk usage.

• If Disk stays at 100%, CPU usage remains high or RAM is constantly full, background software such as an antivirus scan, Windows Update or a game update may be slowing down the system.

6. Check Antivirus and Background Software

• Antivirus software can slow operations while scanning update files.

• Temporarily pause scanning or add the EveryCafe folder to exclusions, in accordance with your organization’s security policy, and try again.

7. Restart and Perform Basic Checks

• Restart the computer. Systems that stay on for long periods can experience reduced performance.

• Verify the Windows date and time. Incorrect time settings can cause connection problems.

8. Database and Report Cleanup

• If freezing and slowness continue, one possible reason is that the database has grown very large.

• To reduce the load, open Araçlar > Seçenekler and use Performans Ayarları to clean older data.

• On the Raporlar page, you can also export historical reports to your computer with Dışa Aktar and then delete those older reports from the system to reduce database size.

9. Installer Support

• If system-level freezing or slowdown continues, the underlying infrastructure may need to be checked.

• Ask your installer to inspect the system and assist you.

10. Return to an Older Version

• If the problems started after a version upgrade, you can report the situation to us.

• Until we identify and fix the issue, you can temporarily continue using an older version.

• See the Previous Version guide in the help archive for the steps to return to an older version.
