EveryCafe Won't Update or Is Running Slowly: What Should I Do?

We continuously improve EveryCafe, optimize performance and make regular changes to keep the system healthy so that you can update and use the application without slowdown or freezing.

If you still receive an error during an update or experience slowness or freezing, we recommend checking the items below.

1. Check the EveryCafeUpdater.exe File

  • EveryCafe updates are handled through EveryCafeUpdater.exe.
  • If an update fails or the program does not update at all, first check whether EveryCafeUpdater.exe exists in the installation directory.
  • If you choose Güncellemeyi Al but nothing happens, close EveryCafe Manager completely, right-click its shortcut, choose Run as administrator and try the update again.
  • Antivirus software can sometimes delete or quarantine this file. Check the antivirus quarantine.
  • If the file is missing, the update cannot start. Downloading and reinstalling the program may resolve the problem.

2. Check Your Internet and Network Connection

  • Restart your modem/router and switch devices.
  • Check whether the whole network is slow by opening websites or running a speed test from another device on the same network.
  • A VPN, proxy or firewall rule may be blocking update traffic. Temporarily disable the relevant rule or service and test again.

3. Check Free Disk Space

  • Make sure the drive where EveryCafe is installed has enough free space. The source guide recommends at least 10–20 GB of free space.
  • As the drive becomes full, overall Windows performance can decrease and update operations can take longer.

4. Check SSD / HDD Health and Errors

  • If you use an SSD, check its health value. If the health value has dropped noticeably, for example below 80%, performance problems and instability may occur.
  • A SMART warning, bad sectors, or a status such as Caution or Bad may indicate that the drive is failing.
  • You can run Windows Error Checking to check for disk errors.
  • Disk-health analysis tools such as Hard Disk Sentinel can be used to review SSD or HDD health.

5. Check RAM and CPU Usage

  • Use Task Manager to check CPU, RAM and disk usage.
  • If disk usage stays at 100%, CPU usage remains high or RAM stays full, a background process such as an antivirus scan, Windows Update or a game update may be slowing the system.

6. Check Antivirus and Background Software

  • Antivirus software can slow down update operations while scanning update files.
  • You can temporarily pause scanning and try again, or add the EveryCafe folder to exclusions when this is appropriate for your organization's security policy.

7. Restart and Perform Basic Checks

  • Restart the computer, especially if the system has been running for a long time and performance has decreased.
  • Check that the Windows date and time are correct, because an incorrect clock can cause connection problems.

8. Database and Report Cleanup

  • If slowdown and freezing continue, one possible cause is that the database has become heavily populated.
  • To reduce the database load, open Araçlar > Seçenekler from the top menu and use Performans Ayarları to clean old data.
  • On the Raporlar page, you can export historical reports to your computer with Dışa Aktar. After exporting them, you can delete those old reports from the system to reduce database load.

9. Installer Support

  • If system-level slowdown, freezing or similar problems continue after these checks, the cause may be related to the underlying infrastructure.
  • In that case, ask your installer to inspect the system and provide support.

10. Return to an Older Version

  • If problems started after upgrading to a newer version, you can report the issue to us.
  • Until we identify and correct the problem, you can temporarily continue using an older version.
  • For step-by-step instructions, see the guide to returning to a previous EveryCafe version.
