How Can I Configure My USB Settings?

With the advanced USB system, EveryCafe provides a more reliable USB data-transfer charging system while also increasing security.

For an EveryCafe license, see EveryCafe pricing.

To configure USB settings, open Araçlar > Seçenekler > USB ÜCRETLENDİRME in EveryCafe Manager. The details on the right side let you configure the following options.

Under the charging preference, you can choose whether USB charging is enabled or disabled.

If you want to display a message when a customer inserts a USB device, enable the notification option and enter the message you want the customer to see in the description field below it.

You may have drives that you do not want to include in charging. List those drives in the exclusion field, separating them with a semicolon (;). Data transferred to these specified fixed drives will not be charged.

For timed sessions, use the timed-session USB preference to choose whether USB should be read-only or whether data transfer should be allowed. If you choose to allow data transfer, USB transfers during timed sessions are free even when USB charging is configured.

You can define tariff details by entering size and price information into the ranges shown in the right column. You can also set a maximum amount of data that may be transferred in a single operation.

The main difference between the Standard and Advanced quota systems is that, with the Advanced quota system, customers see how much they will be charged before transferring their data. If the USB device is removed during a transfer or the transfer is canceled, charging is calculated according to the amount of data actually transferred. This helps prevent later disputes with the customer about the transfer charge.

To change the USB status of computers immediately, use the USB shortcut. In the list that opens, right-click the relevant machine and change its USB status.
